2025 Lexus LX launched in India at Rs 3 crore — Overtrail variant introduced

Lexus India has launched the updated 2025 LX SUV in the Indian market in the 500d avatar. The Lexus LX 500d comes in two variant choices — Urban and Overtrail. Read on to know what each of these variants offer in terms of features and equipment and their respective prices.

2025 Lexus LX 500d launched

The updated 2025 Lexus LX 500d has been launched with a slew of updates that were not offered in the outgoing model. Most of these updates are centred towards safety and connectivity, making the overall ownership experience even more hassle-free than before. In addition, the new Lexus LX500d now also offers front seat massagers that use a new air bladder-based refresh seat for optimal support and comfort on the go.

The updated Lexus LX500d safety suite includes these features:

• Pre-Collision System 
• Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) & Lane Trace Assist (LTA)
• Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM)
• Safe Exit Assist (SEA)
• Lane Departure Assist (LDA)
• Automatic High Beam (AHB) & Adaptive High Beam System (AHS) 

On the connectivity features front, the Lexus LX 500d offers India-specific Data Connection Module (DCM) that ensures continuous connectivity to the internet. Its connectivity features include SOS, drive alerts, tow alerts, road-side assistance, find my car, geofening and remote functions like lock/unlock, power windows up/down and climate control on/off.

Lexus LX 500d Overtrail

Another new addition to the India-spec Lexus LX 500d is the Overtrail variant, which offers multiple off-road addons over the standard Urban variant. While the LX 500d Urban variant is priced at Rs 3 crore ex-showroom, the LX 500d Overtail price stands at Rs 3.12 crore, commanding a Rs 12 lakh premium.

For the additional money, the Overtrail variant offers a host of off-road-specific changes and features. On the design front, it packs a new black radiator grille, matte-grey aluminium alloy wheels and black colour for external elements like fog light trims, door and wheel arch mouldings, roof rails and ORVMs. The changes are not only restricted to design since the Lexus LX 500d Overtrail also features front and rear locking differentials, in addition to the centre differential of the standard model, and high-profile tyres for better off-road performance across various terrains.

Lexus LX500d powertrain

The Lexus 500d comes with a sole 3.3-litre twin-turbocharged V6 diesel engine, which also powers its Toyota cousin—the Land Cruiser LC300. Its diesel engine puts out 308PS of power at 4000rpm and 700Nm of torque between 1600 - 2600rpm. The powerhouse channels power to all four wheels via a 10-speed torque converter automatic transmission. For multiple levels of adjustability, the LX 500d also offers adaptive suspension with variable height control.
