2025 Kia Seltos gets three new variants — Diesel iMT discontinued

Kia India has launched the 2025 Seltos SUV in the Indian market, which brings three new variants and also marks an end to the diesel iMT powertrain option. In this article, we explain all that has been changed and added to the 2025 Kia Seltos range along with its updated price list.

2025 Kia Seltos launched in India

This being a model year update, the 2025 Kia Seltos does not offer any cosmetic or functional changes. However, it brings a revision to the feature set of certain variants along with the introduction of a new variant that brings premium features at an affordable price. The 2025 Kia Seltos price has also gone up amid the 2% price hike that Kia had introduced in the beginning of the year 2025.

2025 Kia Seltos new variants launched

Starting with the addition of new variants, Kia India has introduced three new variants to the 2025 Seltos lineup. These new variants include HTK (O), HTK+ (O) and HTX (O), which offer key luxury features of the mid-size SUV at an affordable price tag. The HTK (O) variant price is set at Rs 13 lakh for the 1.5-litre petrol manual and Rs 14.51 lakh for the diesel manual. The Kia Seltos HTK (O) features include LED interior lights, panoramic sunroof, cruise control, ambient lighting and more.

The Kia Seltos HTK+ (O) price is set at Rs Rs 14.40 lakh with the 1.5-litre petrol manual, Rs 15.71 lakh with the 1.5-litre petrol automatic, Rs 15.71 lakh with the 1.5-litre diesel manual and Rs 17.17 lakh with the 1.5-litre diesel automatic. The Kia Seltos HTK+ (O) features include LED headlights, sequential turn indicators, 17-inch alloy wheels, drive and traction modes, paddle shifters and more.

Lastly, coming to the HTX (O), the Seltos HTX (O) price is set at Rs 16.71 lakh with the 1.5-litre petrol manual, Rs 18.07 lakh with the 1.5-litre petrol CVT and Rs 18.31 lakh with the 1.5-litre diesel manual. The Kia Seltos HTX (O) features include gloss black rear spoiler, fully-digital instrument cluster, dual dash camera, powered driver’s seat, Bose sound system and more.

Kia Seltos diesel iMT discontinued

Like in the case of the Kia Sonet and Carens, the South Korean carmaker has discontinued the diesel iMT powertrain from the 2025 Kia Seltos range as well. The 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine now comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
