Recent news is that the new Kia Carens launch in India has been confirmed for the month of May 2025. Ahead of the launch, Kia Carens Facelift bookings have unofficially commenced at select Kia dealerships in India. The 2025 Kia Carens is set to launch in India on May 8, 2025. The new Carens will come with a new name and is expected to be positioned as a premium version of the current model. There are also talks that, along with the new MPV, Kia will continue to offer the current Carens in their lineup as well.

New Kia Carens exterior & interior

The upcoming 2025 Kia Carens exterior will feature a range of tweaks and updates compared to the current model. It is expected to include new lights at the front and rear, a revised grille, and updated bumpers. We anticipate that the new Carens will have a refreshed front fascia, with some styling inspiration possibly taken from the EV6.

2025 Kia Carens engine specs

The new Kia Carens is expected to be offered with a 1.5-litre diesel engine, which will be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. It’s also expected to get a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, available with both manual and automatic transmission options. Both these engines are also offered on the current model. 

The updated Kia Carens MPV is also expected to get an electric version sometime after the ICE model is launched. It is expected to get two battery pack options — 42kWh and 51.4kWh — paired with a single-motor.

The upcoming 2025 Kia Carens price in India is likely to carry a premium over the outgoing model, and it could go above the Rs 20 lakh mark. It will continue to compete with other MPVs in India like the Maruti Ertiga, Toyota Rumion, Maruti XL6, and similar models.
