BYD has launched their fourth electric car in India today — the BYD Sealion 7 — at a starting price of Rs 48.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Sealion 7 is based on the Seal sedan, and is being offered in rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants. BYD Sealion 7 specs

The Sealion 7 has been launched in two variants in India — Premium and Performance. The single-motor BYD Sealion 7 Premium comes in a rear-wheel drive configuration, while the dual-motor BYD Sealion 7 Performance comes in an all-wheel drive configuration. Power and torque figures of the crossover are given in the table below.

The BYD Sealion 7 Premium price in India has been announced as Rs 48.90 lakh, and the BYD Sealion 7 Performance price in India has been announced as Rs 54.90 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

BYD Sealion 7 booking and delivery details

The BYD Sealion 7 bookings are already live, and the BYD Sealion 7 deliveries shall commence on March 7, 2025. The BYD Sealion 7 colour options include Atlantis Grey, Aurora White, Cosmos Black and Shark Grey.

BYD Sealion 7 battery and range

Both the BYD Sealion 7 variants in India are available with a 82.56kWh battery pack. The electric crossover gets BYD’s signature Blade battery. The BYD Sealion 7 range sits at 567km for the Premium variant, and 542km for the Performance variant. Both these claimed figures are as per NEDC cycle and the BYD Sealion 7 real life range will vary.

The Sealion 7 borrows quite a few elements from the Seal, such as the headlamp design. It gets a different design for the alloy wheels, a lifted stance, and a raised roofline. There’s a large glass panel on the top.

The BYD Sealion 7 interior is a bit more distinct when compared to its sedan counterpart. It gets a four-spoke steering wheel, a digital driver’s display, and a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system. Key BYD Sealion 7 features include a 12-speaker sound system, driver fatigue monitor, a head-up display, powered front seats, automatic wipers, LED lights, and more.
