BMW has officially revealed the fourth generation of its popular mid-size SUV, the X3. The upcoming X3 model has undergone numerous changes, including a fresh design, updated interiors, and better powertrain options. Likely to debut soon in India early next year, the new 2025 BMW X3 will be one of the most practical and fun-to-drive luxury SUVs under Rs 80 lakh. New BMW X3: Design & Feature Updates
Being a new generation, the X3 has now received a thorough update in its design. The all-new front and rear are now inspired by the flagship XM and iX models. The sharp & slim headlights are supported by a larger signature kidney grille. The body panels are chiselled and it looks overall proportionate. The rear design gets slimmer LED lights with a completely new boot & bumper. identical,The major updates are on the inside of the X3 and the highlight is the all-new, driver-centric dashboard layout. In addition to this, the 2025 X3 also gets a new two-spoke D-cut steering wheel along with a dual-screen setup that acts as an instrument console as well as an infotainment screen. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, Harmon-Kardon music system, multi AC zones, new iDrive 9, 360-degree parking view, and ADAS Level 2.
Dimensions may appear identical but the overall length has been extended to increase the boot space. The new X3 has a total boot space of 530-litre, 20-litre more than the outgoing model. This can be increased to more than 1,000 litres with the second row folded down.

BMW X3: Engine Option, Launch Timeline, & Price
BMW has revealed a new hybrid powertrain for the global markets. It is a plug-in hybrid system, but it is unlikely to land in India. From what we know so far, BMW is likely to continue selling the new X3 with the already available xDrive 20d and xDrive 20i engine options. These diesel and petrol engine options get a 48-V mild-hybrid system for better economy in start-stop traffic.
For now, BMW plans to launch the new X3 in the global markets initially. The first launch in the European markets is likely to take place by the end of this month. However, it won’t be any time sooner than the first quarter of 2025 that we get to witness the new X3 launch in India. New design, better features, and added safety will result in an increment in its pricing. For reference, the current BMW X3 price starts from Rs 68.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
