Tata Motors has expanded the Tata Punch lineup with a new variant called the Pure (O). This model comes with a 1.2L petrol engine and a manual gearbox, priced at Rs 6.70 lakh. They have also introduced new sunroof trims, including the Adventure sunroof and the Adventure Plus sunroof. Additionally, there is now an Accomplished Plus trim available with a CNG engine option. The sunroof options are more affordable, with a price difference of Rs 1.20 lakh between the Adventure Plus sunroof and the Accomplished Plus sunroof variants.

Furthermore, Tata Motors has streamlined its lineup by removing some variants. The Pure Rhythm, Accomplished, Accomplished S, and Creative Flagship trims are no longer available, resulting in a more balanced range of options.

Price hike of up to Rs 15,000 for selected Tata Punch variants

The changes aren’t just about adding new variants or discontinuing old ones; there are also price adjustments for some existing options. Both the Accomplished Plus and Adventure Plus S variants have seen a uniform price increase of Rs 5,000. On the other hand, the Creative Plus and Creative Plus S variants have been bumped up by Rs 15,000. This price hike is consistent across all engine options and transmissions. Additionally, the base variant has become more expensive, with a price rise of Rs 13,000, bringing its starting price to Rs 6.13 lakh.

Not just the variant additions, but there are also feature updates for the Tata Punch. It now comes with a 10.24-inch infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, so you can easily connect your devices. The model also includes a wireless charger and rear AC vents for added comfort and convenience. The centre console has been revised and now includes an armrest for a more comfortable driving experience. Plus, there are benefits of up to Rs 18,000 available, though this can vary depending on the variant and conditions. Overall, these updates make the Tata Punch even more appealing and should make buyers even happier.

Under the hood

2024 Tata Punch

The Tata Punch offers two engine options to suit different preferences. For those who love petrol engines, there's a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 87.8 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque. You can choose between a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT. If you're more inclined towards CNG, the 1.2-litre Revotron engine in CNG mode delivers 73.5 PS of power and 103 Nm of torque. However, when you switch to petrol mode, it matches the power output of the regular petrol engine. The CNG engine comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox only.
