It had earlier been reported that Tata Motors was going to launch the facelifted Tata Punch sometime in mid-2025. Recent reports suggest that Tata has moved up the timeline of the Tata Punch facelift launch, and it is now set to make its way to our market in the coming months. Upcoming Tata Punch facelift – What is it?
First launched back in 2021, the Tata Punch has made its way to the top of the sales charts, coming out as not just Tata’s but India’s best-selling passenger vehicle for quite some months now. With the stance of an SUV and an appealing design language, the Punch has been able to capture a big chunk of the hatchback market. Tata is now planning to launch a facelift of the Punch in the coming months. Read further to know what to expect from the upcoming Tata Punch facelift.
Same engine and transmission options
The upcoming Tata Punch facelift is expected to feature the same set of powertrains as the outgoing model. The Tata Punch is powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine that produces 88PS of power and 115Nm of torque. The said engine comes paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. There’s also an option of a factory-fitted CNG kit that will continue to be offered on the new Tata Punch. The Tata Punch CNG might also get an AMT gearbox as seen on the Tiago and Tigor.

Exterior design changes
The Tata Punch facelift will borrow styling elements from the Tata Punch EV. It will get new bumpers and a set of new headlights, along with a few other elements that’ll differentiate it from its electric counterpart. There will also be design changes on the interior that are yet to be revealed.

Feature and variant updates
The new Tata Punch will get a bigger 10.25-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Moreover, we might get to see the sunroof on more variants than present. There will also be feature additions and changes on most of the variants. Pure Rhythm, Accomplished, Accomplished SR and Creative Flagship will reportedly be discontinued from the lineup, while a new variant — Pure (O) — shall be added.
