2024 Tata Curvv crash test — BNCAP awards 5-star safety rating to the ICE version too

Along with releasing the Tata Curvv EV crash test report, Bharat NCAP has also released the report for its ICE counterpart. Akin to the Curvv EV, the Tata Curvv has also secured a five-star safety rating in the BNCAP crash test for both Adult Occupant Protection, as well as Child Occupant Protection. Tata Curvv crash test

The Tata Curvv scored 29.50 points out of a maximum of 32 points in Adult Occupant Protection, translating to a five star rating. It scored 43.66 points out of a maximum of 49 points for Child Occupant Protection, which also gave it a five-star rating in this parameter. The impact tests showed an adequate to good result for the frontal offset deformable barrier test, side movable deformable barrier test, and the side pole impact test for adults, with exception of a marginal impact to the driver’s left leg in case of the first test.

Variant tested and applicability

The Tata Curvv variant tested by Bharat NCAP was the Accomplished + A diesel-manual variant. The test ratings are applicable to all petrol as well as diesel variants though, as per the report by Bharat NCAP. You can refer to the full report released by Bharat NCAP here.

2024 Tata Curvv safety features

Some of the standard Tata Curvv safety features include 6 airbags, anti-glare IRVM, ESC, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and more. Higher variants get additional features such as ADAS with 20 functionalities, hill-descent control, TPMS, rear defogger, and more such active and passive safety tech.
