MG Windsor EV colour options – Which one would you pick?

MG India has just launched their all-new electric car, the Windsor EV, at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh plus Rs 3.5/km for the battery lease. You can check out this story for more details on the pricing arrangement. Coming to the meat of the matter, the MG Windsor EV is offered in three variants and four interesting colour options. New MG Windsor EV colour options

The 2024 MG Windsor EV is offered in four colour options for the exterior — Turquoise Green, Pearl White, Clay Beige, and Starburst Black. Furthermore, there are three variants to choose from — Excite, Exclusive and Essence. The interior colour theme is common across all trims, which is a black theme with gold inserts and accents all over. 

Battery, motor, and range

The Windsor EV comes with a 38kWh lithium-ion battery pack with prismatic cells, which sits on a skateboard EV platform. The battery pack feeds power to a front-mounted single motor that has a claimed range of 331 kilometres. The permanent magnet synchronous electric motor produces 136PS of power and 200Nm of torque. The Windsor EV also supports DC fast charging of up to 45kW, helping it to replenish its battery from 0-80% in under one hour.

Windsor EV features

The MG Windsor comes with a variety of features, just like every other car from MG. It also gets a few new and interesting bits such as lounge-like 135-degree multi-step reclining rear seats that can also be finished in a premium-looking leather quilting material. The seats also offer a 60:40 split function and the front seats come with ventilation. Talking about the tablets, it gets a 15.6-inch infotainment system and an 8.8-inch TFT instrument cluster. The Windsor also comes with a 9-speaker system from Infinity, front & rear armrests with storage, and a large fixed glass roof.

MG Windsor EV price

The 2024 MG Windsor EV price starts from Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base Excite variant. You'll have to pay another Rs 3.5 per kilometre to MG for the battery. This doesn't sound like a bad deal to us, but we'll reserve our opinion till we drive the car. Stay tuned for our review! Bookings commence on October 3 and deliveries start from Oct 12, 2024.
