2024 Mahindra Thar ROXX 5-Door Launch On August 15 - Everything You Need To Know!

The much-awaited Mahindra Thar 5-door launch in India has been confirmed by the Indian carmaker along with an official teaser of this upcoming SUV in India. Named the Thar ROXX, this new five-door Mahindra SUV will launch in India on August 15. While further details, including the 2024 Mahindra Thar ROXX price, are yet to be announced, here is everything you need to know about this new Mahindra SUV in 2024.

Mahindra Thar 5-Door: Top Changes

The official teaser of the new Mahindra Thar ROXX confirms that the new 5-door version will boast a long list of updates over the present Thar 3-Door. For starters, we get a new, six-slot front grille with a double-stacked layout, new circular headlamps with LED projector setup and C-shaped DRLs. In addition to this, the new Thar 5-Door also gets a new set of alloy wheels, new LED tail lights, and more.

Inside, the new Thar 5-Door will be offered with a 10.25-inch dual-screen setup along with a large panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, steering-mounted controls, push-button start, automatic climate control, and more. Other than this, we are also expecting features like a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, auto-dimming IRVM, and more to be offered with select variants of the new Mahindra Thar. We are also expecting the Mahindra Thar 5-door top model to be equipped with ADAS LEVEL 2 and other advanced safety features.

Mahindra Thar 5-Door Engine Options

Just like the Thar 3-door, the new 2024 Mahindra Thar ROXX is expected to get three engine options - a 1.5-litre diesel, a 2.2-litre diesel and a 2.0-litre petrol engine. Needless to say, the buyers will have an option of manual and automatic gearboxes to choose from. Likewise, multiple 5-door Mahindra Thar ROXX RWD variants will also be on offer.

Mahindra Thar 5-Door Price 

While the brand is yet to share the official Mahindra Thar 5-door price list, we are expecting it to sit above the Scorpio in the brand’s line-up. With an expected starting price of Rs 15 lakh, the new Thar 5-Door will give strong competition to rivals like the Force Gurkha 5-Door and the Maruti Jimny.
