Kia has gathered over 3,000 bookings for the new Carnival MPV, pushing the waiting period up to almost a year. Priced at Rs 63.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the 2024 Kia Carnival is priced much higher than its predecessor, but it also provides a ton of upgrades both inside as well as outside the cabin. Kia Carnival is a 7 seater MPV from the South Korean automaker that does duty as a luxury people mover, boasting impressive rear-seat comfort and convenience. Previous generation of the Carnival was discontinued in India due to the stricter BS6 emission norms and the MPV has made its way back in a refreshed avatar.

2024 Kia Carnival bookings and waiting period

 

Kia has garnered over 3,000 bookings for the new Carnival, despite it being priced at a huge premium over the previous generation. This has resulted in a waiting time extending to almost a year. Also, the number of bookings stood at 1,822 units on the day of the launch, which was up from 1,410 units for the first generation Carnival.

The updated Kia Carnival gets a 2.2-litre diesel engine that sends all the power to the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. It produces 193PS of maximum power and 441Nm of peak torque.

New Kia Carnival price in India

 

The Kia Carnival Limousine Plus price in India has been set at Rs 63.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It comes in a 2+2+3 seating configuration, and gets two options for the exterior colours. As per a media report, the new Carnival is now being assembled via SKD (semi-knocked down) kits at the Kia plant in Ananthapur.
