The 2024 BMW 5 Series bookings in India commenced on June 22 on the brand’s online portal ahead of the official launch on July 24. To be offered for the first time in the LWB version, the new eight-generation 2024 BMW 5 Series can currently be booked in a single variant called 530Li M Sport LWB. It’s Bigger, Spacious and Comfortable

As the name suggests, the 2024 BMW 5 Series LWB has an extended wheelbase and offers improved space inside the cabin, especially for the rear passengers. What makes it even better is a design that focuses on rear-seat comfort, making it perfect for those who prefer being driven around. The extra legroom and comfortable seats make long rides enjoyable. The interiors, just like modern BMW cars, are top-notch and get premium leather, ambient lighting, and high-quality finishes. New And More Advanced Features

BMW’s latest iDrive 8 infotainment system is a key feature of the new 5 Series. It includes a large curved display that combines the instrument cluster and central touchscreen. The system supports over-the-air updates, voice commands, and advanced connectivity, keeping everyone connected and entertained. On the safety front, the new 2024 BMW 5 Series LWB is offered with multiple advanced driver assistance features including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and a 360-degree camera system. Furthermore, what it also gets are other features like ambient lighting, an 18-speaker Bowers and Wilkins surround sound system, a heads-up display and a four-zone climate control.

Engine and Performance

Globally, the new 2024 BMW 5 Series is offered with petrol, diesel as well as plug-in hybrid powertrain options along with the pure-electric BMW i5 which is sold at a higher premium. The Indian-spec model however, at the time of the launch, is likely to get a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine while the diesel-powered version might debut shortly after. The new 2024 BMW 5 Series price will be revealed on July 24 and will be positioned as a direct rival to cars like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Audi A6, and the Volvo S90. This BMW sedan will be assembled in India and is expected to be priced around Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
