VinFast India debut at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo — VF6 and VF7 to hit Indian roads soon!

Vietnamese carmaker VinFast is ready to enter the Indian automotive market, and has made its debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This relatively new automaker has showcased its global lineup at its pavilion, though the first two cars to be introduced in India will be the VinFast VF6 and VinFast VF7 electric SUVs. Here are key highlights from the Auto Expo.

VinFast 

VinFast Auto is a subsidiary of Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup, and was founded in 2017, which makes it a relatively new car manufacturer. It is Vietnam's biggest automaker and is going to step into India with its lineup of electric SUVs. It has showcased its global lineup at the Delhi Auto Expo, but the models currently of significance to us are the VinFast VF6 and VinFast VF7.

VinFast VF6 electric SUV

The VF6 is the smaller of the two SUVs and features a minimalist design with smooth flowing curves throughout the body and signature V-shaped LEDs at both ends. It is powered by a 59.6kWh battery pack, and will come with two configurations for the front-axle-mounted electric motor — 180PS and 207PS.

VinFast VF7 electric SUV

The VF7 is the larger EV and it also features minimalist styling with similar LED bars at both ends. It will be offered with a larger 75.3kWh battery pack and will be offered in two configurations — FWD and AWD. The single-motor setup produces 207PS of power and the dual-motor setup produces 359PS of combined power.
