Upcoming MG M9 electric MPV India debut at Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025

MG has revealed that the second product to be introduced via its network of Select premium dealerships will be the MG Mifa 9 electric MPV, which it has named as the MG M9 for India. We have witnessed a handsome demand for luxury MPVs in recent times, and vans like the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire being sold out for over twelve months. Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming MG M9 electric MPV that is going to make its India debut at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025.

2025 MG M9 EV

The MG M9 is set to be the carmaker’s second electric car in India to be sold through its premium dealership network, the first one being the upcoming MG Cyberster. It is sold as the Mifa 9 in certain markets, and has been renamed as the M9 for our country. MG had already showcased the MPV at last year’s Delhi Motor Show, and it will be introduced in India in a seven-seater configuration.

MG M9 design and styling

The M9 wears a van-like look and does not pretend to be an ‘SUV’, with a typical silhouette and a boxy body. It features a connected lightbar at the front as well as the rear, and gets lots of chrome spread throughout the exterior.

MG M9 interior and features

Step inside and you might be reminded of the Vellfire, if you’ve been in one. Thanks to the second-row ottoman seats, the M9 screams luxury and comfort. The key MG M9 features include three-zone climate control, massage function for the seats, various touchscreens all around the cabin, a couple of sunroofs, and more.

MG M9 India launch timeline

JSW MG Motor India has confirmed that the MG M9 India debut will take place at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Auto Expo that is to be held from January 17-22, 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The luxury MPV will be up for sale in 12 major cities starting this January. Don’t expect the M9s to be readily available due to the increased demand for luxury MPVs in India.
