New MG Cyberster electric roadster revealed in India — Two-door sports car

MG might not be the carmaker that first comes to mind when we think of fast and exciting cars. But the British marque is here to break those notions with its two-door electric sportscar — the MG Cyberster. Here’s everything you might want to know about the MG Cyberster that has been launched in India at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025.

2025 MG Cyberster electric sportscar

The Cyberster is MG’s first (and only) electric roadster that has been launched in the country today. It has been launched in the more powerful dual-motor guise and gets cool stuff that is usually seen on more expensive cars such as scissor doors and a long bonnet. 

MG Cyberster design and styling

The new MG Cyberster gets the looks of a sportscar with its sleek silhouette and low setup. The body features curvy panels, with arrow-shaped tail lights and aggressively-styled dual-tone alloy wheels. There’s a long bonnet, two seats, a retractable roof, and scissor doors.

MG Cyberster interior and features

The cockpit is built with a focus on the driver, featuring a curved separation that houses four screens for various functions including climate control, instrumentation, vehicle settings, and more. There’s a dual-tone finish inside the cabin, along with a flat-bottom steering wheel. Key MG Cyberster features include an ADAS suite, 360-degree cameras, and more.

India-spec MG Cyberster specifications

The India-spec version of the Cyberster gets the more powerful dual-motor setup that claims a maximum power output of 510PS and 725Nm of torque. It gets a front double wishbone and a rear five-link independent suspension. And it’s fast, with a claimed 0-100kmph time of 3.2 seconds.

The car comes equipped with a large 77kWh battery pack, which MG claims to be just 110mm thick. The battery pack is paired to the two oil-cooled electric motors that we just spoke of. It has a WLTP claimed range of 443 kilometres.

New MG Cyberster price in India

MG is yet to reveal the price of the Cyberster EV, but pre-bookings have commenced as of date. It is the first MG car in India that will be sold through the company’s new network of premium dealerships called ‘MG Select’. MG Cyberster deliveries will start from April this year.
