It’s raining electric SUVs at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025, and the latest one to be launched is the electric version of India’s most popular compact SUV — the Hyundai Creta. Christened as the Hyundai Creta Electric, the SUV comes with the options of two battery packs — 42kWh and 51.4kWh. Here are all the details that we know about the new Hyundai Creta Electric.
Hyundai Creta Electric
The Creta Electric replaces the discontinued Hyundai Kona Electric, and stands as the entry-level Hyundai electric car in India. It is built as a modified version of the ICE Creta and thus, has the same wheelbase and other key design features such as the overall body design.
Creta Electric battery and motor specs
The Creta Electric has been launched with two battery pack options — 42kWh and 51.4kWh. The powertrain with the smaller battery pack gets a claimed power output of 135PS, while the one with the larger battery pack gets a claimed power output of 171PS.

Creta Electric range and charging time
ARAI-claimed range, as per Rev.1 guidelines, stands at 390 kilometers for the smaller battery pack, and 473 kilometres for the bigger battery pack. 10% to 80% claimed charging time stands at 58 minutes via a DC fast charger, and 10% to 100% claimed charging time via an 11kW charger stands at 4 hours.

Creta Electric interior and features
The inside of the SUV also mimics most of the elements of its ICE counterpart, leaving for a few changes like the 4-dot Morse code logo on the steering wheel, and the steering-column-mounted gear shifter. Other key Creta Electric features include a dual-screen setup for infotainment and instrumentation, a three-pin socket at the rear with V2L capability, electric boss mode, panoramic sunroof, and more.

The Hyundai Creta Electric safety include a Level-2 ADAS suite with 19 functionalities, 6 airbags, disc brakes for all four wheels, TPMS, ISOFIX child seat mounts, ESC, Vehicle Stability Management, hill-start assist control, and hill-descent control, and more.
