Update: As per a latest report, Honda will launch the Elevate Black Edition on January 7, prior to the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025.

Honda Cars India doesn’t want the hype around the Elevate to slow down as the Japanese carmaker is readying a Black Edition for its only SUV in the Indian market. Expected to be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025, the Elevate Black Edition will go against the Hyundai Creta Knight, MG Astor Blackstorm and Volkswagen Taigun GT Sport. Read on to know more about the upcoming Honda Elevate Black Edition.

Honda Elevate Black Edition details

Honda launched the Elevate back in September 2023, which was later joined by the Apex Special Edition that brought a few features missing in the standard Elevate. For the year 2025, Honda is set to launch the Elevate Black Edition that brings an all-black exterior colour, black alloy wheels, black skid plates and black door handles. We expect to see an all-black dashboard layout, black seat upholstery and black roof liner on the inside, to up the sporty appeal.

To remain mechanically unchanged

As it goes with most of the special and limited editions, the Honda Elevate Black Edition is likely to remain mechanically unchanged. It will feature the same 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated i-VTEC petrol engine that puts out 121PS of power and 145Nm of torque. We expect Honda to offer the Elevate Black Edition with both 6-speed manual and CVT transmission choices.

Honda is known to offer one of the best petrol engines industry that offer the right balance of performance and fuel efficiency and the Elevate is no different. If you are tight on budget, you can choose from a range of low-mileage used Honda Elevate SUVs.

Upcoming Honda cars in India

At the launch of the Honda Amaze, the Japanese carmaker committed to launch 3 new cars in the Indian market. We already know that one of three is going to be the Elevate EV, which is slated for 2026 launch. The Honda Elevate EV is set to be Honda’s first electric SUV for the Indian market. Like the Elevate, the Elevate EV is also likely to be manufactured in India and exported around the world.
