2025 Skoda Octavia vRS revealed in India at the 2025 Auto Expo — Monster sedan

Amidst all the mundane (ok, subjective) electric vehicle launches at the Auto Expo, lies an outlier, a flag-bearer of internal combustion engines. Skoda is back with the Octavia vRS, which is the closest that a large number of people can get to a performance sedan, when it comes to buying one. Here are key details about the 2025 Skoda Octavia vRS from the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo.

Skoda Octavia RS

The Octavia RS, or the Octavia vRS, is a performance-oriented version of the Octavia sedan. It has been launched in India in the past, but usually comes in a few numbers and gets sold out with the sound of a click.

Octavia vRS engine specs

The Octavia vRS comes powered by a 2.0-litre TSI engine that has been tuned to produce a maximum power of 269PS and 370Nm of peak torque. The turbo-petrol comes mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It also gets a distinct exhaust system than the regular Octavia. The sedan can accelerate to 100kmph from standstill in just 6.4 seconds. Skoda Octavia vRS top speed has been restricted to 250kmph.

Octavia RS design upgrades

The RS-spec Octavia gets lots of exterior elements that distinguish it from the standard sedan. It features a blacked-out grille, larger air intakes, vRS badges at the front and rear, a rear lip spoiler, and a different design for the alloy wheels. The RS also sits 15mm lower than the regular Octavia.

Octavia RS interior enhancements

The design changes aren’t limited to the exterior, but to the inside of the cabin too. There are red inserts throughout the cabin, coupled with red ambient lighting. The sports seats come finished in black upholstery with red stitching. The steering wheel also features a vRS badge at the bottom.
