2025 MG M9 luxury van revealed at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025 — Silent luxury

JSW MG Motor India has showcased its electric luxury MPV in India — the MG M9 — at the sidelines of the MG Cyberster India launch that took place at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo today. The M9 will be sold alongside the Cyberster through MG’s premium Select dealership network. Here are the key highlights from the 2025 MG M9 luxury van India reveal.

New MG M9 luxury van

Named as the MG M9 for the Indian market, the luxury MPV is sold as the Mifa 9 in certain global markets. It was showcased prior to this year’s Expo at the inaugural Bharat Mobility Global Expo in February 2024, and will soon be introduced in the country in the seven-seater configuration. 

MG M9 battery and motor specs

The MG M9 electric van comes equipped with a 90kWh battery pack that powers an electric motor with a claimed power output of 244PS and 350Nm of torque. It gets a claimed WLTP range of 430 kilometres.

MG M9 design and dimensions

The M9 wears a van-like look and does not pretend to be an ‘SUV’, with a typical silhouette and a boxy body. It features a connected lightbar at the front as well as the rear, and gets lots of chrome spread throughout the exterior. The dimensions of the M9 are mentioned in the table below. 

MG M9 interior and features

Step inside and you might be reminded of the Vellfire, if you’ve been in one. Thanks to the second-row ottoman seats, the M9 screams luxury and comfort. The key MG M9 features include three-zone climate control, massage function for the seats, various touchscreens all around the cabin, a couple of sunroofs, and more.

2025 MG M9 price in India

Pre-bookings for the 2025 MG M9 electric MPV have already commenced, with its launch slated for March 2025. The expected MG M9 price in India will be northwards of Rs 65 lakh (ex-showroom). The luxury MPV will be up for sale in 12 major cities where the Select dealerships will be present. Don’t expect the M9s to be readily available due to the increased demand for luxury MPVs in India.
