Maruti Suzuki has showcased its first-ever electric car for the first time in India, and we can certainly say that it looks worth the wait. The Maruti e Vitara looks like no other Maruti car in India currently on sale, and that might just work in its favour. Built on a modified version of the Heartect platform, the e Vitara shares its underpinnings with the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV. Here’s everything you need to know about the 2025 Maruti e Vitara.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara
The e Vitara carries forward the iconic ‘Vitara’ nameplate but in an electric avatar. Marking Maruti Suzuki’s foray into the global EV market, the e Vitara is an important product for the carmaker, making it stand shoulder to shoulder against other giant EV manufacturers. This new electric car in India has made its debut at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025.
e Vitara dimensions and design
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara takes a huge leap in the aspect of design and styling, asserting itself to be looked upon and appreciated. It gets a rather muscular styling that aims at justifying the ‘SUV’ tag. There’s a connected tailbar and octagonal headlights, joined together by a closed grille. The brand new alloy wheel design complements the rest of the car.
