Distinctly Dzire: 2024 Maruti Dzire brings all-new looks and engine

In a market dominated by SUVs, if there is one car that continues to lead the race among sedans, it is the Maruti Suzuki Dzire. To push the competition further, the new 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire promises to be a strong contender with its aggressive styling, updated interiors, new features, efficient powertrain options, and improved safety. With the new Maruti Dzire price expected to start around Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom), buyers will find it an appealing alternative to cars like the Hyundai Aura and the upcoming Honda Amaze.

For the first time, the Maruti Dzire will feature exclusive exterior styling, distinct from the Swift. Unlike the Swift, the new Dzire boasts a bold front fascia with sharp lines, sleek LED headlights, a large front grille, and a redesigned bumper. The side profile largely remains similar, but it now features new dual-tone machine-cut alloy wheels, while the rear has also been extensively updated. These updates include a new set of LED taillights, a redesigned boot lid, and a new bumper that complements the front styling.

Inside, while the dual-tone beige-and-black colour scheme has been retained, there is an updated dashboard layout with a floating touchscreen infotainment system at the centre. According to current information, the new 2024 Maruti Dzire features include automatic climate control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a single-pane electronic sunroof, push-button start, a semi-digital instrument console, a revised centre console layout, rear AC vents, type-C charging ports, and more.

Another significant update is the powertrain, as the new Dzire will be the second car in India to feature Maruti’s latest 1.2-litre Z12E three-cylinder petrol engine, which first debuted with the fourth-gen Swift. This engine produces 81.5PS of power and 111.7Nm of maximum torque. As for transmission options, the engine is available with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. This new engine not only offers improved efficiency but also claims better low-end torque and acceleration, making it well-suited for city driving. The same engine in the Swift reportedly delivers up to 25.75 km/l, so the new Maruti Dzire mileage is expected to be similar. Maruti may also introduce a CNG version of the Dzire at launch to compete with other CNG sedans in India.

There is a notable improvement in the new 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire safety features. The new fourth-generation Dzire is expected to come equipped with features such as six airbags as standard, a traction control system, ESP, seatbelt reminders for all passengers, cruise control, and more.
