Honda Cars India, a subsidiary of Honda Motor Co. Ltd., has been a key player in the country’s automotive market since its inception in 1995. Initially established as Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI), the company became a fully owned Honda subsidiary in September 2012. Production in India began in 1997 with the launch of the City sedan. Its first manufacturing plant was established in Greater Noida. Initially, it had a capacity of 30,000 units per year but today, the facility boasts a capacity of 100,000 units annually. The plant covers over 150 acres.

To further strengthen its manufacturing capabilities, Honda Cars India established a second plant in Tapukara, Rajasthan. Spread across 450 acres, this facility enhances the brand’s ability to meet local and export demands.
