How to Check Traffic Challan Status Online in Nagaland?

Traffic rules and signals must be followed to ensure a smooth traffic flow and for the safety of all road users. However, if one violates any of these rules, a challan/fine is issued. This is a penalty that one must pay, and it acts as a reminder to be more cautious on the road.

Here we explain the three ways in which you can check your challan’s status online in the state of Nagaland:

Check Using the CARS24 platform

• Visit the CARS24 website or app, and click on the ‘Pay Challan’ tab.
• Enter your car’s registration number.
• Check the pending challans and their status.

Check Using the Parivahan portal

• Visit the Parivahan eChallan website.
• Under the ‘Check Online Services’ tab, click ‘Check Challan Status’.
• Enter the challan no./vehicle no./DL no and captcha, and click ‘Get Detail’.

How to Pay eChallan Online in Nagaland?

Once you have checked the status of the pending challans on your vehicle, you can pay them online via the CARS24 platform or the Parivahan eChallan portal.

Pay Using the CARS24 Platform

• Visit the CARS24 website or app, and click the ‘Pay Challan’ tab.
• As mentioned above, check the status of your challan and click on the payment tab.
• Pay the due amount online, and CARS24 will settle the challan. 
• CARS24 will notify you once the settlement is complete. The status also gets updated in the app (under the section ‘My orders’)

Pay Using the Parivahan Portal

• Visit the Parivahan eChallan website and click on ‘Pay Online’.
• Enter the challan no./vehicle no./DL no and captcha, and click ‘Get Detail’.
• Select the challan for which you want to pay and make the payment.

How to Pay eChallan Offline in Nagaland?

You can also pay the eChallan issued by the Nagaland traffic police online. There are two ways to pay the challan amount offline.

• Visit any traffic police station in your city with essential documents like your driving licence, identity and address proof, and traffic violation challan. You can then pay for your challan in cash and get the receipt.
• You can also locate a traffic police officer with an e-challan machine. Use your debit/credit card or UPI to make the payment.

eChallan Complaint Process

If you think the challan issued was unfair or incorrect, you can file a complaint on the Parivahan website. The notification about its status will be sent via SMS to your registered mobile number. If the complaint is rejected and you are still unsatisfied, it can be further raised in the court. The procedure to raise your grievance is as mentioned below:

How to file eChallan Complaint

• Visit the Parivahan eChallan website and click on the ‘Complaint’ tab.
• Add all the required details and mention your issue (complaint) in the ‘Describe your issue’ section. 
• Enter the captcha and click ‘Submit’. A ticket number will be generated. Keep it safe for reference.

How to Check eChallan Complaint Status

• Visit the Parivahan eChallan website and click on the ‘Complaint’ tab.
• Click on the ‘Ticket Status’ tab at the bottom of the page. 
• Enter your ticket number and the captcha. Click ‘Check Status’ to check the status of your grievance.

Check the eChallan Transaction Status

How to Check Pending Transaction

• Visit the Parivahan eChallan website and click the ‘Check Online Services’ tab.
• From the drop-down menu, select ‘Check Pending Transaction’.
• Enter the challan number or vehicle number and the captcha. Submit by clicking on ‘Get Details’.

How to Check Failed Transaction

• Visit the Parivahan eChallan website and click the ‘Check Online Services’ tab.
• From the drop-down menu, select ‘Check Failed Transaction’.
• Enter the challan number or vehicle number and the captcha. Submit by clicking on ‘Get Details’.
