Engine | 2.0L Petrol, 2.0L Diesel |
Transmission | 6-Speed Automatic, 8-Speed Automatic |
While the upcoming Sportage is in its fourth generation from KIA, the model is yet to make its way to India. Fortunately, though, we believe that the latest model will make its way over given the fact that the SUV segment is truly flourishing in the country. Also, the KIA Seltos has been doing extremely well in India and is growing in popularity every day. This might push KIA to launch the Sportage in the country as well. While there isn’t a lot of information around the Sportage right now, we expect the SUV to be similar to what is offered on the Hyundai Tucson and will immediately compete with the likes of the Tucson, Mahindra XUV500, and the Jeep Compass. Like the Tucson, we can expect the Sportage to come with a 2.0L petrol engine that generates 155Ps of power and 192Nm of torque. There is also a 2.0L diesel engine that produces 185Ps of power and 400Nm of torque. Both the engines will most likely be paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission as standard with the option for upgrading to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Some of the features we are expecting on the Sportage include a panoramic sunroof, multiple airbags, and an electronically adjustable driver seat. With more information expected to drop anytime soon, you can get all the latest Sportage news right here.
