Thar enthusiasts might have to loosen the reins of their money bags and lighten their pockets even more than before, as the Indian manufacturer has hiked up their price for the third time. The increased prices for the Thar are between Rs 42,000 to Rs 1,02,000. Mahindra, with its tremendously successful car, has increased the price twice before since its launch in October 2020. Thar has been in demand so much that there is already a year-long waiting period.
As is the case with many short supply-more demand items, the value of the SUV was bound to rise. The prices of the Mahindra Thar has been increased by Rs. 1 lakh approximately. The AX variants booking was stopped for a while, but the hope for a possible continuation after looking at its mention in the new price chart. The diesel LX (manual) variant will face the least amount of hike of 42,000 rupees. The biggest, steepest hike being that of 1,02,000 rupees, will be seen in the automatic variants of both petrol and diesel-powered engines.
Mahindra Thar currently faces not much, arguably little to no competition, from the market. The upcoming cars from Force (2021 Force Gurkha) and Maruti Suzuki Jimny may serve bit competition to the wonderous beast from Mahindra.
