The automotive giant Tata is all set to make the dreams of all Tiago enthusiasts come true by launching an upgraded variant of the mega-popular Tata Tiago. The Tiago NRG, a variant of the existing Tiago, was first introduced back in 2018. The all-new crossover styled Tiago NRG prices start from Rs. 6.57 Lakh and goes up to Rs. 7.09 Lakh. The car was a hit among the customers in this price segment and was able to register good sales figures. However, unfortunately, Tiago NRG had to be discontinued by the Indian brand in the year 2020 due to complications with adhering to the implementation of the BS6 norms. In what is an excellent business opportunity for the company, the car is set to make a comeback with the new BS6 compliant petrol engine option on August 4, 2021.
The Tiago NRG is coming with visual updates such as the bumper, which carries a sporty design. There is also SUV-like cladding all around the vehicle. The brand has brought some new colour options to choose from for the customers. The NRG is built to be clearly distinguished from the existing Tiago. The car is expected to be a bit bigger in size as compared to the other standard models due to its revamped design. The Tiago NRG might also feature a new set of alloy wheels to give it a different look and bring out the freshness of this model.
The safety features of the Tiago NRG will be comprising of dual front airbags, speed sensors, and rear parking sensors. The car will also be featuring ABS with EBD. There is also an expected change in the interior of the car. The new all-black theme could be the highlight of the new Tiago NRG. The availability of the seven-inch touchscreen that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that is powered by Harman which will make the interior more attractive for the buyers. Other features such as automatic climate control, manual driver-height seat adjustment will surely help in boosting the sales of the Tata motors’ car.
The powerhouse of the Tiago NRG, that is, the 1.2L, the three-cylinder petrol engine, will remain the same. The engine can throw a power output of 84bhp with a torque of 113Nm at 3,300rpm. The car will be available in both manual and AMT options.
