Some of the most popular models sought after in the used market were three models from Maruti Suzuki, namely the Swift, Dzire, and Wagon R 1.0. Other players included Hyundai, and Honda, with cars like the i10, and the beloved City.

1. Maruti Suzuki Swift  

The Maruti Suzuki Swift continues to be one of the top-selling used cars in Delhi, securing a prominent market share (6% of total used car sales in Delhi) in 2024, according to insights derived from CARS24 internal data. 

The Swift’s stylish design, fuel efficiency, and reliable performance has cemented its place as a favorite among used car buyers. It’s compact, easy to navigate through the crowded streets of Delhi, and provides ample comfort and space, making it ideal for city dwellers. 

The VDI (32%) & VXI (31%) variants are the most sought-after, followed by the LXI (24) and LDI (5%), reflecting a preference for higher-end trims with added features.

Our data also depicts a slightly larger preference for petrol Swifts (59%), followed by diesel (40%), and a mere 1% of used Swift buyers choosing the CNG fuel type. Manual transmission options garnered the most used Swift buyers (98%), with automatics capturing a very small market share (just 2%).

Petrol fuel type was the go to choice for majority of the buyers, accounting for 80% of total sales, while diesel garnered only 20%. Similarly, manual transmission cars saw higher preference, with 87% people purchasing manuals, over just 13% for the automatics.
