According to the latest sales data, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Honda, and Tata are the top-performing brands in Bangalore’s used car market. According to the latest data, Maruti Suzuki emerged as the most popular brand among used car buyers in Bangalore in 2024, reinforcing its dominance in the pre-owned market. Hyundai and Honda secured the second and third positions, while Tata and Ford completed the top five. Ford’s continued presence among the top brands reflects the enduring appeal of the EcoSport and Figo, despite the brand’s exit from the new car market in India.

Hatchbacks remained the preferred body type for Bangalore’s buyers, driven by the city’s traffic congestion and the need for fuel-efficient, easy-to-park models. However, the rising popularity of compact SUVs, particularly from Tata and Ford, signals a growing shift in buyer preferences toward more versatile and rugged vehicles.

1. Maruti Suzuki – 31.0% Market Share

The i10 remained Hyundai’s best-selling used model, contributing to 16.47% of the brand’s total used car sales. The Grand i10 followed with an 11.74% share, while the i20 maintained steady demand at 11.44%. The Verna emerged as the top-performing used sedan from Hyundai, securing a 10.24% share.

3. Honda – 7.5% Market Share

5. Ford – 4.85%

Used Ford cars in Bangalore secured the fifth spot, edging past Mahindra despite a slight dip in market share from 5.22% in 2023 to 4.85% in 2024. 

The EcoSport led Ford’s used car lineup, accounting for 33.58% of the brand’s total used car sales in Bangalore. The EcoSport’s enduring appeal stems from its sturdy build quality and responsive engines—qualities that continue to attract loyal buyers.

The Figo followed closely with a 30.36% share, maintaining steady demand since 2023.  The Ford Fiesta rounded out the top three, emerging as the best-selling used Ford sedan in Bangalore.
