Interestingly, the EcoSport and Innova have lost ground to the Vitara Brezza versus the previous year. The preference for the larger Innova MPV and Scorpio SUV show buyers gravitating towards 7-seater vehicles for the whole family.

Available in a wide range of powertrains over its evolution since launch, our data shows a 100% preference for manual transmission Creta models. Around 78% of buyers opted for the frugal diesel variants, with only 22% of buyers choosing petrol.

The Toyota Innova slipped from second place with a 10% market share the previous year but still commands respect in matching the smaller, more affordable models on this list. The popularity of used Innova cars in Lucknow shows that buyers in the region are keen on large family cars. 

With buyers showing a 100% preference for both manual transmissions and diesel engines, our data also reflects a preference for strong, fuel efficient cars that are good both for city driving and long-distance travel. 

5. Mahindra Scorpio | 6% Used SUV & MPV Market Share in Lucknow

The Scorpio was the most popular used Mahindra car in the country, topping charts since 2021. Its rugged design, versatile seating configurations and strong diesel engines have helped it retain its title over the years. 

Buyers of second hand Scorpio SUVs in Lucknow showed a 100% preference for both manual transmission variants and diesel engines. While an automatic gearbox was available earlier on in the Scorpio’s lifecycle, a petrol engine was only added in the Scorpio N model.
